PKNS FC striker Rafael Ramazotti has expressed his eagerness to play in the final of Shopee Piala FA Malaysia 2018 after scoring a brace against Selangor at Stadium Shah Alam two days ago.
The Italian player opened the lead for PKNS FC in the first half after a brilliant finish past Selangor goalkeeper Khairulazhan Khalid, but saw his team concede two goals in the latter stages of the match. Two minutes into stoppage time, Rafael Ramazotti popped out of no where to earn the equalizer.
He was delighted with his teammates for not giving up against Selangor until the final second.
“I will be honest and say that it is disappointing not to get three points, but we saw ourselves taking the lead before conceding two late goals and I was happy to score twice in the derby,” he said.
“We created more chances and were the better team, but that is just how football is.
The 30 year-old then went on to say that he would have traded his two goals for three points.
“I obviously care about scoring, but I care about winning more.
Rafael Ramazotti, who joined PKNS FC from Singapore Premier League side DPMM FC in January, believes the squad has the drive to reach the final of Shopee Piala FA Malaysia 2018.
“I am ready, we are ready, PKNS FC is ready. It is a whole new game and a new challenge for us, but we will do anything to reach the final at Stadium Bukit Jalil on July 7,” he concluded.
The Red Ants will face The Red Giants for the third and fourth time respectively this season in the two-legged semi-final match on June 23 and 30.
