Felda United captain Muhammad Shukor Adan has asked the fans of the team to fill up Stadium Tun Abdul Razak when they face Sabah in the 100PLUS Liga Premier Malaysia 2018 match tonight.
The 38 year-old defender expressed his disappointment after witnessing a number of empty seats throughout the season, despite the team’s good form which put them on top of the league.
“Honestly, it is a little sad to see empty seats in the stadium despite being in first place,” Shukor said.
“We are here today to make the fans proud but how can we do that if they are not even there?
According to Shukor, the entire team is in good spirits ahead of the Sabah clash after successfully defeating UiTM FC 4-1 in Shah Alam earlier this week.
“The good win over UiTM FC has made the players forget about the 3-0 loss suffered at the hands of MIFA two weeks ago. On top of that, scoring four goals away from home was the icing on the cake.
Shukor Adan is optimistic that Felda United can maintain their lead on top of the league until the end of the season and he wants his teammates to take a game at a time.
“We are at a crucial stage right now and every game after this is important because it allows us to maintain and even extend our lead at the top of the table. We also know that Felcra FC is in good form and they have a game in hand.
“We will face Felcra FC after the Sabah game and the league is still open with many potential surprises,” he concluded.
Felda United is in first place after collecting 29 points from 13 matches, closely followed by Felcra FC in second place with 21 points and a game in hand.
