Felda United FC head coach B. Sathianathan is extremely satisfied with how his team have been performing this season and is looking forward to extending their lead at the top of 100PLUS Liga Premier 2018 with a win against third-placed Sarawak at Stadium Tun Abdul Razak, Jengka on Thursday night.

The Malaysian Football Coaches Association (PJBM) president stated that his primary objective is to win the league and return to the highest level of Malaysian football next season – unifi Liga Super Malaysia.

"We need to get three points against Sarawak (on Thursday night). I feel it is not going to be an easy task to get a win because Sarawak is a good team, but I know my boys will give their all," Sathianathan said.

Sathianathan did not complain after dropping points in a home game against Felcra FC on Monday but insists on gaining maximum points in the remaining fixtures before the first half of the season ends.

"The result (against Felcra FC) was positive and I am happy with the point earned against a fresher team than us. They were not involved in the knockout stages of Shopee Piala FA Malaysia 2018, so why would I not be delighted with the 1-1 draw against one of our closest rivals in the league?

The 60-year-old coach was also pleased that Sarawak dropped three points after suffering a 3-2 defeat against UiTM FC in Shah Alam but has warned his players not to be complacent against Ian Gillan's side.

"I expect Sarawak to bombard us (like what PKNP FC did in the quarter-final second leg of Shopee Piala FA last Friday) with long balls and a high-pressing game. I expect a tough fight because they have a great striker and some good wingers," he concluded.

Felda United FC currently sit on top of 100PLUS Liga Premier Malaysia with 20 points from eight matches whereas Sarawak are in third place with 14 points (alongside second-placed Felcra FC). They will meet in Jengka at 9:00 PM, with the match also being broadcast live on RTM.
